Giveaway: World’s Best Origami book

GIVEAWAY CLOSED – CONGRATULATIONS ADRIAN!

Another Giveaway! Read on.

Have you ever made paper airplanes? If you have, then you’ve created origami, an ancient Japanese art form.

World's Best Origami
World's Best Origami by Nick Robinson

The first chapter covers the basics including papers, tips on proper folding, the different folds, making shapes, and other beginner information.

The author, Nick Robinson, cautions the beginner to master the basics before jumping to the more complex designs. It was as if he were watching me since my first inclination was to find that one special design I wanted to make. I found it – an angel – which was rated as one of the most difficult design in the book!

After the basics are covered, his chapters are divided into birds, flowers, people, containers, geometric designs, and more. Every shape contains clear step-by-step instructions with illustrations and rated on a scale of difficulty from one to five.

A great reference book for your craft library or Christmas gift for kids of all ages, this book could also serve as a textbook for an origami class. The author takes some of the mystery and the difficulty out of origami making even the most complex designs doable.
