Oh My! I can’t believe it’s spring already! I took these pictures a few days ago and so much has already changed!
I really love Spring with everything coming alive again.

Both of those previous pictures are taken in our new bed we planted last year after we lost that beautiful Elm.

We had our first taste of our asparagus out in the garden yesterday. Just one ready for picking! It’s three weeks early this year.

We’re hoping we won’t get a hard freeze. I’d hate to lose our cherries.

I cleaned out the hosta beds Wednesday and found them coming up.
I also cleaned up the porch so we could start using it again. Last year it rained all spring. Then it was too hot to sit out there. Hopefully, we’ll get more use of the porch this year. Our new Dusty loves it out there. And he also has grown. We added a pound to him in the last month.

Here’s another shot of our growing boy.

But let’s not leave out Puddin, who appears to have slimmed down a bit for her new buddy. We bought them this play tower since Dusty loves to climb. However, he hasn’t had much interest in it. However, Puddin was climbing on it the day we brought it home.

And since it is Spring, we have gone to smoothies for breakfast. I made this lovely Black Raspberry Smoothie this morning from last year’s crop.

That’s it for now. I’m headed out to mulch the hostas and the other beds in the front. So much to do at this time of the year. Have a great weekend.
Spring! My crocus are just starting to come up and there should be blossoms shortly.
My favorite time of the year. You have two beautiful cats! One of my cats from years ago had a kitten years that was all gray. My friend took him and he was an amazing cat! Looked very much like yours with double paws. She named him Spencer Tracy and she absoultely loved that cat, he was so smart. I enjoy reading your blog, thanks for sharing.

Spring has definitely sprung at HA! It looks like Dusty has settled in nicely. I bet Puddin decided to take over that tower to make a point!

Found you through Frugally Sustainable and am so glad I did – I will definitely be coming back 🙂 The lemon balm bug spray looks perfect for me – I just planted some last year that was Freecycled to me, so I should have plenty to harvest this year! The gel air fresheners look great, too and I will be giving them a try.
Spring has come very early here in my corner of Southern Ontario, too. I was out taking pictures very similar to yours and posting them on my blog on Saturday 🙂 Of course in my itty bitty 33 x 100 urban lot I don’t have quite so many things growing but work to squeeze more in every year. Hoping to put in some fruit trees this year.

Karen, So glad you found me! Don’t forget to check out the plantain anti-itch balm too! I’m off to check out your blog. Lynda
Looks about like here in Southern Michigan, but our flowering trees aren’t quite blooming yet. Besides everything coming back to life in Spring, I love to hear the birds and peeper frogs singing, and having the windows open finally!
