Stamped Metal Jewelry Book/DVD Giveaway

GIVEAWAY CLOSED – CONGRATULATIONS TRISH OF INDIANA

I must tell you that I HAD to have this book, Stamped Metal Jewelry by Lisa Niven Kelly as soon as it was published. When I received it, I sat down and read through it immediately, and then jumped to the computer and watched the DVD.

But then I received this review copy. Wow! Not only will I get to review this wonderful book, but I’ll get to give it away!

Just looking at the cover gets me excited! Anyway, on to the review! First of all the book comes with a DVD. In this DVD, Lisa walks through the tools and supplies and the stamping basics including the correct pressure for stamping on metal, how to line up letters, and tips and tricks with design stamps. She also teaches the viewer two different pendants – a simple stamped and a two-sided.

The book starts with an extensive section on stamping, wirework and metalsmithing tools and techniques. It’s really everything you wanted to know about working with with stamping and metal. In the remainder of the book, she walks you step-by-step through nineteen different projects from a simple stamped pendant to full-circle bracelet. The tutorials also include great pictures, materials and tool list, and some tips and tricks. I must admit that I love every one of her projects. At the back of the book is a gallery of additional pieces from nationally known artists – more eye candy!
