Well, I’ve been working in my art journal a tad and experimenting with zentangles. But first, you’ve got to see what I won!

I won them through a great blog, Creative Therapy. Check them out!
So I’ve been dying to use them. This zentangling thing has me going. I’ve been trying to figure it out, so last night I sat down and watched a video all the way through with my journal next to me. I tried a couple techniques and settled on the mooka. Love it. Here is the link to the video.
We saw Boz Scaggs a couple weekends ago in Nashville at the Ryman and I was listening to this as I zentangled. He sounds as good as he did 30 something years ago!
Then I added a little bit of the gelly roll metallics to jazz it up.

Pretty much fun. I liked the idea of listening to a song and using some of the words from it to work throughout the page. And I love these pens! Thank you Creative Therapy and Sakura for donating the prize.
Very cool! And lucky you to win the gelly roll pens! Your Zentangle looks great…I’ve played around with the concept a bit. Love the whole black in and intense color look.
Kathy, It was so much fun. I tried their other design – tweed – and I couldn’t seem to get my hand to move like they did and then I was trying to do it opposite since I’m left handed. I will try it again though.
What a great win-some pretty colors on your zentangles. I had never tried this (or heard of it) until one of the SplitCoastStamper challenges used it sometime ago.
I meant black INK!!! In my post above.
