It is so busy here with all of the gardening and crafting and writing, but I just had to take some pictures and show you some of the color here at Happy Acres.
Here are a two of my irises that have never bloomed before. This one I bought several years ago and moved it from a bed where it never bloomed. This year it did!

This was one of the irises I bought at a trip to an iris farm several years ago. It was in a grab bag so I had no idea what it was. It’s been sitting in that one area for a couple years and decided this year to bloom. So glad to have her join my 40+ irises. I don’t have a name for her.

This light yellow one was brought over from Dave’s house when we moved here in 07.

These next two were given to me by my friend Barbara. This one is not known for pretty blooms. It’s all about the foliage. Then this two-tone one I love.

This one is one of the many that were here when we moved in. I found out at the Newburgh Garden Club meeting this month that there was a very active iris group in this town many, many years ago. Due to all of the different irises we have, the original owner must have been a member.
If you are new to my blog and wonder about the numbers, last year I numbered all of my irises as they bloomed. I decided that the number assigned in 2010 would be their final number. I had been numbering them as they bloomed the previous years and started getting real confused. Anyway, that’s what is up with the numbering.
But there is more going on here than irises.

That’s all for now. Time to pick some asparagus. I hope next week to post at least one of the craft projects I’ve been working on. Have a great weekend!
Love Firebreather and #37 the purple and yellow iris. Looks like you will be well supplied with fruit! TFS
Firebreather take my breath away!!! Lovely photos, Lynda.
I am so jealous! I love irises. I even named my daughter Iris. Your flowers are gorgeous. I agree with Bev. I love #37. And the Cherib Smile. They’re all so beautiful
