While reading blogs today I saw where Connie at Dirty Little Footprints Studio wanted her readers to tell their art journaling secrets in exchange for a chance to win a great prize in her giveaway. I just love giveaways!
Well, I just happened to have been working a bit on a new art journal project where I’m exploring some different textures and materials.
I have found – and I guess I’d call it my secret – is to paint the pages first. Working on white pages is way too scary! Once they are painted, I pick the page that goes with what I want to journal about. Sometimes I will add more to the background before I write, but at least if it’s a color it’s so much easier to get started.
