Dave and I took some time off today from gardening and other chores to go check out some local art at YART. This art fair, held every Spring and Fall has been going on for many years. Artists pay no fees or commissions and no art is priced over $30.
It’s been years since I attended this fair. It’s small and held in a front yard, but it’s friendly and has a great bunch of artists. It was nice seeing some faces of those I’ve interviewed over the past year for my newspaper column and meeting some new artists.

We left Yart and had lunch at one of our favorite restaurants, Manna Mediterranean Grill.
Then it was back to some chores. Dave worked in the greenhouse and then reworked the shelving in my closet. I worked on the blueberries, weeding and mulching, getting them ready for winter.
What a fun day! And the weather was absolutely beautiful. Hope you are enjoying this weekend.
Looks like it was a great day for this! Scarlet was there…I guess you saw her. I was home making soups and dyeing some cloth for an order.

Looks like a lovely little art fair! I like small fairs better than big ones with huge crowds. We worked on our balcony for hours yesterday as well, I can only imagine how much work a whole garden must be, preparing for winter!

Kristina, It was a nice fair. Yes, it’s a lot of work. I’ve had two sessions with the blueberries so far and I’m almost done. Then it’s on to the blackberries and lavender and several beds to clean up. However, the weather may beat me to my chores but I think I’ve got another month before it’s too cold.
It was a great day. I talked to Scarlet and took her picture but didn’t like how it turned out.
thanks for sharing these photos lynda!
