I am so excited! I will be showing some of my pieces – mostly ice dyed fabric – at one of our local libraries this month. I’ve been busy getting stuff ready.
Here are a couple of the pieces I dyed awhile back – two of my favorite pieces. I wish I would have mounted them earlier.

Then one of the new tops I ice dyed this week – a white shirt I found at a thrift store. I love giving these thrift finds a new life. And this shirt reminds me why I love this technique so much!

Here is another one I just finished. I really enjoy dyeing the clothing since all I have to do is put the piece on and go!

Here are a couple of those vintage napkins ice dyed.

Every time I ice dye, I realize why I love it so much. I love how the finished piece is really controlled more by the ice than anything I do – although I do have some say in the process! But I love that surprise of washing out the fabric and seeing a new design.
If you are interested in ice dyeing but need a little help getting started, I’ll be teaching a live Quilting Arts webinar on June 26. More information on that later.
It’s so nice getting my art up and out of the house. That’s all for now – still more to get done for this exhibit.
Really nice pieces. I want to snatch up that vintagy top to wear. Congratulations on the exhibit! I will be looking forward to your webinar.
Darlene, Thanks!
Love to see the ice dying webinar, keep us posted. Great looking pieces.
Ellen, Thanks. I will post about it once the marketing is up.
