It’s been almost three years since I snow dyed which propelled me into this dyeing and surface design addiction. Then this past week it snowed and it was time to get out the dyes and revisit this process.

This was the first of three snow dyeing sessions.
I first dyed a couple shirts. One for Dave and one for me. I used two fiber reactive dyes: Brushed Steel and Cobalt Blue.

I know that I need to put panties on my model!! Usually my shirts are long enough and cover her!
This whole process made me again realize how much I love to dye and even though I love ice dyeing, I also love to use snow because it gives a softer design.
Tomorrow I hope you will come back and I’ll show you the rest of pieces where I used just one dye and how it split into lots of lovely colors.
Cool!!
These are terrific. I love this snow die process. The unexpected and delightful. xox

Sherri, Thanks!
Hi Corrine. I love the unexpected too. Tomorrow’s post really shows surprises that I absolutely love. Thanks for dropping by.
Thanks for the inspiration. I, too, was just realizing how long it has been since I dyed. I have stuff ready to go. It would be nice to get some snow here soon.
Hi Penny. You are so welcome. I’d be happy to ship you some of our snow!
