Can you believe December is almost over? I sure can’t. Just a short Sunday roundup of what’s been going on here this past week.
I made a couple of batches of biscotti, but decided on the pizzelles for the cookie exchange.
I’ve also been dyeing quite a bit and have decided I need to be much more organized. I made these sheets to help me track my work. I do this for soap. Surely I can do it for dyeing.
Talking about soap, Dave posted one of our latest soap recipe, French Green Clay, on his blog.
Here is one of my thrift shirts that I dyed yesterday. I still love Color Magnet!
I’m quite excited that Evi Slaby, the silk paint artist I took the class from in September, is joining me in an exhibit in February at Krannert Hall on the University of Evansville (my alma mater) campus. I’ve been working on the fabric needed for one of the jackets she will be making which will combine her silks and my dyed fabric.
Hubby cut these tubes for some of our props for the exhibit. They’ll be painted and covered with fabric, or that’s the plan right now!
Well, that’s all there is for this week. Hope all is well with you and yours.
Busy girl! Looks like you’re having as much fun as I am! BTW, I love those tubes… what are they from? I have some from when we had new vinyl flooring put in the kitchen… covered one with contact paper to use for shibori dyeing, but I can’t wait to see yours as displays!
Judy, Great idea for those tubes! They are from the paper that Evi uses when she steams her silks.
That sounds like a great coordination of skills Lynda! I can’t wait to see photos from the show!

Just one more reason to follow your blog in case one day I should ever get organized! 🙂 I look forward to seeing how you display everything. How fun to collaborate with someone!
