What better way to welcome the summer than to devote a whole month to sun printing. This month I’m in charge of the posts on Andthenwesetitonfire blog and we’ll be posting over there about this fun and easy surface design technique.

Three talented artists, LuAnn Kessi, Robbie Payne, and Sue Andrus, will be joining me, sharing their tips and sun printing techniques.
My first blog post is today. Check it out Here. I’d love you to come on over to the Fire blog and play along with us.
And talking about great summer techniques, ice dyeing is also lots of fun and so easy too. If you’ve wanted to try it and just didn’t know where to start, my webinar is still available to download. My How to Dye Fabric with Ice webinar was recorded last July, but the information is still accurate. In the webinar I take you step-by-step on how I ice dye. If you’re not familiar with webinars, they are live events where the instructor (in this case, me) talks while the attendees are watching the slide show. At the end of the talk, there is a question and answer session. Of course, mine is recorded so you can’t ask questions then. However, if you have any questions you can always email me.
Do you love challenges? I sure do. I’ve decided to kick off my summer by participating in a couple challenges that are starting today. I’d love for you to join me.
Rinda over at Gallo Organico is having her photography scavenger hunt. I don’t know how long she’s been doing this, but I’ve been wanting to participate for a couple years now. Anyway, this is the summer for it. She’s releasing her scavenger list and info today.
The second challenge I’ve wanted to do for a couple years is the ICAD – Index Card A Day Challenge over at Daisy Yellow Art. It starts today and lasts 61 days.
And speaking of challenges, the Printed Fabric Bee Challenge Giveaway will start Monday. I’ll be posting a picture of the collection and info on the giveaway then.
So do you have any challenges you are going to do this summer?
I have been wanting to try sun printing so I will definitely be following along with you!! I did the ICAD challenge a couple years ago and that’s a fun one, I hope you’ll post your index cards!
Hi Susan, Great! Sun printing is so much fun. I’ll post the ICAD. As I said I’ve been wanting to do it for a couple years. Thanks for dropping by.
yeah…I did my first sunprinting for the year last weekend!
And I am doing the photo scavenger hunt(for the second time) and ICAD for the first time.
Looking forward to seeing all the sunprinting during July

Marsha, Are you going to post on your blog about your sun printing? I’d love to see it! Glad to see you’re doing those challenges too. I’m getting off the computer soon to do my first index card. Just got back from a local craft fair and took a couple pics for the hunt. Thanks for dropping by.
So glad you’ll be playing along with the Scavenger Hunt this year! You’re the second person who posted about ICAD today. It looks really appealing, but I”m not sure I could commit to 61 days!
