This past month I had the honor of being the Queen Bee for The Printed Fabric Bee. For my month I picked petroglyphs as my topic. I fell in love with this type of art when Dave and I vacationed in the Southwest several years ago. For this challenge I asked for fabric 8 x 18 in Turquoise and Orange.

This should be a good one! Turquoise and rusty Orange is one of my favorite color combinations- and living in the Southwest, I see this imagery frequently.

Lynda, This was an excellent choice of themes and the work is stunning. What a great focus for the artists to create the background fabrics, search out they print media and designs and create such awesome fabrics. Looking forward to seeing each one of those coming soon…. Great project once again.

Thanks for invoking the memory of a warm childhood day when my father took my hand and showed me my first petroglyph. The first moment in my life when I realized the land had known people long before me.
