I love chocolate. I could (and do) eat some form of it every day. Michelle’s recipe for Black-Bottom Cupcakes made me hungry for chocolate. Tonight is the Master Gardeners’ meeting and in addition to their skills as gardeners, this group loves to cook and eat. Anyway, I thought it would be a great excuse for me to bake something. Her recipe sounded good, but I’d like to save that one for us – no sharing.
Instead I made these Double Peanut Butter-Chocolate Chewies from Eating Well.

I did a little tweaking since I don’t ever seem to have everything on hand when I need it. I substituted Walnut oil for the Canola, and extra chocolate chips for the peanut butter chips. I thought they looked pretty plain so I smeared melted chocolate on a few. I doubt those will make it to the meeting tonight.
The recipe says it makes 3 dozen. For me it made 6 dozen small perfect-sized cookies. This is a very easy recipe, one I will definitely make again when I need a chocolate fix or just need a nice substantial cookie to share.

Michelle,
Yeah, they were good and it was all your fault! LOL
