Here is another one of Interweave’s Beading Daily Workshop with Ronna Sarvas Weltman, artist and best-selling author.

Ronna takes the listener through the very basics of polymer clay starting with the tools needed for this craft to proper conditioning of the clay. Other topics include shaping and adding texture to the clay. She also includes marbling, caning, and embellishing. Throughout the workshop she gives tips for working with this clay and creating fun and fabulous beads and discs.
She’s a patient teacher, taking time to explain everything with her humor thrown in. Even though I’ve worked a bit with polymer clay, I felt that after I watched this dvd, I had so much more confidence to work with this medium.
If you are new to playing with this clay, I highly recommend this dvd for your craft library.
Here are some beads I made after watching this dvd. These are not like her beads, but I felt so confident about working with the clay that I ventured out and added gold leaf. I will post my finished project soon.

Those are gorgeous, Lynda! How did you get the gold??
I am surprised that more youngsters aren’t involved with the polymer clay. I have only dabbled with it but sure do love the designs that can be made.
Lynn, That’s gold leaf. I’m going to post a tutorial when I get the bracelet done. Dave’s going to drill holes for me and then I’ll put it together.
