I hope you all enjoyed your Valentine’s Day yesterday.
Here at Happy Acres we are pretty laid back. We both spent the morning running errands.
I spent the afternoon working in my craft room/woman cave sewing with some of my painted fabric I made last summer. While I was sewing, Dave was in the kitchen whipping up one of my favorite dinners – hot and sour soup! And for this meal he added a spring roll. Yum!
We used to celebrate by going to a favorite restaurant, but in addition to the long wait, no one seems to cook as good as my valentine!
Here is the valentine fabric card I made for my beloved.

I didn’t finish the edges leaving it shabby chic! The ribbon that holds the card closed is a leftover from our wedding.

On the inside I printed on fabric a picture of us and a quote. On the opposite side is my note to him.
He made me a sweet card and gave me a box of my favorites – Chocolate covered cherries!
We topped off the evening watching “Harry and Tonto” and sipping a cup of hot cocoa. What a life! I am so blessed. Hope your day was happy.
Thanks for sharing your day. We are both so so lucky to finally find our true loves!
Robin, We sure are. As they say, better late than never!
How sweet. What a lovely gift. And I think his was too! (the soup and the rolls)
Kathy, Definitely. He knows hot and sour soup is one of my favorite meals. See you Thursday!
Beautiful card! Sounds like you both had a great day. And I would really like to know what you were sewing 😉
Kristina, I’m still working on it! Thanks for wondering! I hope to have it done in a week or so.
