Recently I received some of the Crafter’s Workshop stencils. Fun!

Most of these were Balzer Designs. Julie Fei-Fan Balzer is one of my favorite artists. I first saw her on Quilting Arts TV last season. I immediately loved her designs and her whole attitude about creating art. She has really inspired me in my journey toward creating more freely. You can read her blog here.
When I found out that she had designed her own line of stencils I was so excited. I was glad it was the Crafter’s Workshop who was making them. They make such high quality stencils. I used one of their other stencils here.
In future posts I will show you how I’ve been playing with Julie’s stencils. The first one is Summer.

Isn’t she cute? I’m face-drawing challenged so I thought this would be great for me. So here are a couple projects where I used her.

Looks like I can draw! After using this stencil, I think I probably could draw a face.
The next project is the cover of my August art journal. This cover is made from my paint cloth.

Here’s a closeup.

I just love these stencils. They come in two different sizes: 6×6 and 12×12. If you are interested in purchasing Julie’s stencils, go to Julie’s shop.
Gotta get back to my stencils!!
Neat journal cover-I loved the daisy stencil and the photo in your other post-really neat project!
Bev J. recently posted..POTATO VINE GONE WILD!
Bev, Thanks! That daisy stencil is one of my favorites from Crafter’s Workshop although I’m getting to love them all!
Totally awesome! Love what you’ve done! Thank you so much for your kind words!
Julie, Thanks for dropping by. You are so welcome! Lynda
I’m so jealous – I am a huge fan of Julie Fei-Fan Balzer (http://msmathey.blogspot.com/2011/01/ode-to-julie-fei-fan-balzer.html) and am dying to get my hands on some of those stencils – especially the face ones – someday I am going to take one of her stamp carving classes!
