I can’t believe it’s been over a week since I posted. It’s been busy around here with just keeping everything alive. I water daily and early before the heat sets in. I picked the last of the blueberries the other day after harvesting almost daily since the end of May.
Last week we did get away to Nashville to enjoy a bluegrass concert, have breakfast with a friend, and visit the farmer’s market. Even though Dave grows a lot of food, there are some things we don’t grow. Unfortunately I took his small camera and didn’t get any of the pictures in focus!

I’ve also been drying some Calendula to use in soap and lotions. This is the first year we’ve grown it and it’s not hard to grow if we can keep the deer from eating it!

Now for some peeks at some of the projects I have going on in my woman cave.

That’s all for today. Looks like another hot and dry day. I’m off to see what needs watering. Thanks for dropping by.

What is going on in the last photo? What will this be?

Kathy, the last project I’m almost done with but now trying to decide how to finish it.
My buttons came from a tut Kelli Perkins had on her blog and I pinned. That was my first attempt making buttons with fabric that way (flat) so more experimenting needed. In her tutorial she used paper. I thought I’d try fabric.
I’m pretty much all over the place with projects. Kinda off in all directions! Just finished making the solar wax melter for our beeswax. My first bunch of beeswax is melting!!
All of this watering is getting a bit old!
Lovely projects. You are one talented lady!

Mmh, the peaches look yummy! Sounds like your summer is the exact opposite to ours…it’s been cold and rainy in Germany for days, while southern Europe is suffering from a heat wave too. I hope we get some sunshine before the season is over and I hope you’ll get some rain 🙂

I am in your same boat. The time just keeps marching by and I don’t get anything posted, read or finished. That’s a busy summer for you!!
Love the bits and pieces you shared today anyway.
