Today is Shop Small – a day we are encouraged to shop small businesses. I love to shop from local stores and especially buy from local artists. When I wrote my newspaper column, “Telling Your Story” I enjoyed promoting those local artists and crafters. Now I’ll do that from time to time here.
Tuesday I had lunch with Amy Kinkel Adams of Amy Adams Designs. I’ve known of Amy for years, but our paths never crossed until a couple weeks ago at an event where we were guests of a mutual friend and former boss, Amy Abbott. It was so much fun finally getting to meet her. At that event we talked and talked and then made this date for lunch.
Amy is one talented woman! She gave me these notecards which are so cute and show just a little of her talent.

But Amy does much more than notecards.
She also creates these lovely paintings and floor cloths. See some of her work HERE.

I could also see some of her designs made into fabric, but you know that’s me – always thinking about cloth!
But WAIT!! There is so much more Amy creates. Amy has worked with a variety of businesses and organizations designing logos and marketing packages. She can take your idea and create a whole package whether it’s marketing your small business or helping your corporation grow.
Even if you’re not local, she can work her magic for you from afar.
If you or someone you know needs some creative help with marketing, contact Amy at 812-453-6281 or email her at amy@amyadamsdesigns.com. Be sure and tell her Lynda at Bloom, Bake, & Create sent you!
Oh, Amy had no idea I was going to post about her. I was so impressed with her portfolio, her enthusiasm, and her talent that I just HAD to tell you all!
Don’t forget that Monday is the deadline for my first craft book giveaway here. Have a great weekend!
These are beautiful. I want to make some photo cards but am still trying to figure it out a bit. Wanted to let you know that I read your blog everyday, but sometimes the comment field doesn’t pop up, so I haven’t been commenting as much lately. Glad that it opened for me today.

Rinda, Thanks for checking in and following me. I don’t know why the comment section would not open for you. You do have to be on the actual post and not on just bloombakecreate.com before it opens though. Several people have mentioned that and we found that was their problem. They thought they were on the actual post but the were on the site. Let me know if you continue to have that issue. Thanks again for being out there!!
Lynda, I can’t thank you enough for you kind and encouraging words. I can’t wait to get together again, very soon!
Rhinda, if you want to have some of your art reproduced into notecards, I can help you with the digital paste up. Either way, may I suggest you use DigitalLizard.com for your printing needs. They are an excellent digital printer, offer one of the nicest varieties of paper stock, including recycled and tree free options, and if you register a user account and tell them I referred you, you will receive 5% off of each and every purchase you make (and they’re prices are already awesome!).
Again Lynda, thank you!!!
