In our last session of the Intuitive Art Class, Ronda, who you’ve seen on this blog here and here, gave me these metal birds and a cherry she made from soda cans. She’s so talented!

She had seen all of the stuff I had hanging from our cherry tree that the tree service cut down by mistake.
Anyway, she made these for me to hang on our small cherry tree. So the other day I went out and hung them on our cherry tree – the only one of the three to survive that we planted several years ago.

Behind this tree you can see one of the new cherry trees we planted this year and the bee hive.

And what is exciting, if the birds don’t beat me to them, it looks like we’ll have at least enough cherries for one cobbler.

But cherries aren’t the only fruit coming on here at Happy Acres. It’s always exciting to see our blueberries. Won’t be long and I’ll be harvesting them.

These are our first peaches on these new trees we planted several years ago. Not sure they will hang on until ripe, but looks like in a couple years we should have plenty to eat.

Then the blackberries – we always have gobbs of them every year. I always make a variety of treats with them. Check out my recipes here.

I’m not doing an iris count this year, but I just have to show you one of my favorites. It’s a beautiful two-tone rust bearded iris. I still have two large iris areas, but I’ve moved some of my favorites to the front where I can see them and in smaller beds so I take care of them easier.

Lastly, this week started with putting up my ice dyed fabric exhibit at the North Park Library in Evansville, Indiana. The exhibit will stay up for two months. It was so neat to see my art in the display cases.

Another great week! Hope yours is going well.
Yes, Ronda is amazingly talented
So great to see your work on display!! You should be proud! Love the bird made from the Coke can. Did you do anything to the edges to keep them from cutting a finger??!! Very cool!
Be sure to have your hubby take your picture in front of your display – What a privilege – great work!

I enjoyed seeing how your garden is coming along. The ice dyed display is really lovely.

Annette, Thanks. When Ronda gave me these she said to be careful so I was. No, the edges are sharp.
My friend Teresa did that but I really hate my pictures these days. Thanks.
Jeannie, Thanks. Lots of weeding and mulching going on right now with the asparagus harvesting. Won’t be long I’ll be moving on to blueberries. Thanks for dropping by.
Contractulations on the exhibit, that’s so great!! Love seeing all things blooming in your garden, as always 🙂

Wow, that was supposed to have been “congratulations” of course…no idea how I ended up writing it so wrong 😉
Kristina, Thanks!
