Good Monday Morning!
I am so excited to share with you a new project I will be involved with for the next 12 months. Lynn Krawczyk and Lisa Chin created this group and invited me to be part of this project with nine other fabric artists.
The Printed Fabric Bee is a printed fabric exchange. Each month a member of the group chooses a theme making her the Queen, and the members of the Hive create a piece of fabric based on her choices. In the end, each member will have a collection of custom made fabric made by all the members of the Hive.
We will post about the fabric we create on our Facebook page. We’d love for you to follow our journey this year. It should be pretty exciting.
As for me being Queen, I won’t have that title until July.
Here are our members and their websites. I’m honored to be included in this great group of artists.

Lynn is up first as the Queen bee with her theme of Orange Circles. Humm… This is going to be an interesting year.
Again, if you want to see what we are up to, “like” us on Facebook.
Congratulations! I am excited for you. This is such an “elite” group of talented women. Looking forward to “The Printed Fabric Bee” posts.
Ronda, Thank you. I am so honored to be asked to be part of this wonderful and talented group of fiber artists. I am so excited about getting started.
What a cool exchange.
This is a great idea and it will so much fun to see what each of you come up with each month! Have fun!!!
Diane, It will be fun! I’m anxious to see what everyone does for Lynn. I’ve got my ideas so we’ll see.
Rinda, It was a great idea. I remember round robin quilt blocks years ago, but this is different. Some of the ones I was involved in years ago everyone kind of did what they wanted. This is good because the Queen tells us her theme and color preferences.
