Irises and More

I’ve not blogged about my irises much in the past couple of years. They used to dominate this blog in Spring as I recorded and numbered every one of the beauties. As I mentioned in a recent post, I’ve moved some of the irises up to the front beds and let the other beds go.

They are all blooming this year so I thought I’d give you another look at some of them, but this time up close and personal.

I can’t blog about gardening without showing the shade area that is finally completely weeded and mulched for the summer. This area has a variety of hostas, ferns, astilbes, azaleas, and other shade-loving plants.

And the blackberries are blooming.

The blueberries are growing.

And we’ll get a few cherries this year!

I so love this time of the year.
