I got out my Indigo dye pot the other day and had another round of indigo dyeing.
They came out lovely and I just had to show them to you. This first one is scrunching from left to right.
This is an offset swirl.
And the last one – looks like a sun.
Indigo dyeing is so easy, fun and absolutely beautiful! I will be teaching an Indigo Dyeing class at Studio 4905 in Henderson, Kentucky on Thursday, August 21 from 10 am – 3 pm. It will be a fun class. If you are in the area and want to join us, contact Sherry Wilkerson at 270-869-4469 or on her Facebook page here.
this are wonderful…but how did you actually do these…how did you keep the scrunch in place????

Hi Marsha, I tied them loosely with waxed linen thread. I could have used any small thread to do it but that’s what I grabbed. Since the thread was so small you don’t see any lines. Thanks for asking.
I have yet to find a tutorial anywhere on your site…I love your ideas and techniques, but the tutorial ‘pics’ arent taking me to tutorials. I need the tutorial for indigo and ice dying. Where do I find info on how to do those techniques?
Sorry you are having problems. When you go to the tutorials, for instance ice dyeing, you will have all of my tutorials on that topic. There will be a picture and under the picture is a description such as “Batching in the Sun”. Click on the picture, not the words and it will take you to the blog post. If you click on the words you get the picture. Hope that helps.
