Well, it’s that time of the year for me to decide what ornament I will make for Dave. I know what I’m going to do, but since it’s a secret (and it’s just in my head right now), I won’t be able to post about it until Christmas.
We’ve been making each other ornaments since we met in 2005. He made one for our first tree, and since then we’ve been doing it every year. And it’s always done in secret! It’s one tradition I hope we can continue for a long time. I blogged about it in this post.
Since I don’t have a new ornament to show you, I thought I’d link several tutorials of past ornaments. You might want to make one of them for your tree.
Here is the tutorial for the 2014 ornament.

This one was cut from a thrift shop shirt, and added felt to the back.

And in 2017 I was having fun playing with wool felt.
Looking through my blog I discovered I never posted last year’s ornament. I drew one of my cat figures, and put it on a vintage piece of fabric from my stash.
We aren’t putting our tree up this year because we don’t trust Molly. She’s quite active, and we’d hate her to break our homemade ornaments. I will be putting up my tiny tree with lights, but that’s all. Hopefully, by next year she will have settled down a bit.
Recently, I found a real easy tote/grocery bag to make. I want to make one more before I post about it. So easy!!
Hope you are enjoying this holiday season.
I was so glad to see a collection of those past ornaments. Always an inspiration to the rest of us.
Luann, Thanks. Merry Christmas!
