2020 My Favorite Things

As the year is coming to a close, I wanted to share with you five of my favorite things I’ve been using in the studio. There are links to the products on the product headings. These are not affiliate links.

Stash and Store

These are not only cute, but so useful. I love having all of my small sewing tools right where I want them. They come in two sizes. I opted for the large one for my Juki, and the mini ones for my other two machines.

Easy Press Mini

The regular size Easy Press was one of my favorite purse making tools last year. I love it for that task, but it’s way too large when I’m working small. I found this Easy Press Mini works great on my little zip pouches.

Clover Hot Ruler

When making that wallet in October, I dug out this ruler. I had purchased it awhile back, but never really worked with it much. It was great for this project, and anytime you need to be exact.

Glide Thread

I have a variety of threads, but these have become my favorite. The colors are beautiful, and they make some beautiful stitches.

Magnetic Seam Guide

I have had this for over 20 years, but never used it much until this year. It really helps me with those 1/4 inch seams.

If you have a favorite thing you use in your studio, I’d love to hear about it.

Meanwhile, I’ve been working on those zip pouches and greeting cards for my Etsy store (https://www.etsy.com/shop/LyndaHeinesDesigns). I also decided to sell locally at The Confectionery, an online and local store located in Evansville Indiana. She sells her own handcrafted soaps, other beauty supplies, but she also sells several local artists’ art. I’m so happy she asked me to join those artists. Wednesday I took these to the shop to sell.

Here is Sara in her shop in Evansville Indiana.

Here are my pouches and bowls in her shop, with some beautiful pottery made by a local potter.

I planned to take this dyed rope bowl to the shop, but I posted it on Facebook and sold it right away! It is on it’s way to it’s new home.

It’s time to clean my studio, tie up loose ends, and plan for next year. I’m hoping we’ll all have a much better year. Thanks again for dropping by.
