July

I hadn’t sun printed in awhile so I decided to over sun print some of my previously dyed pieces I didn’t like.

August

Found I loved overdyeing with Indigo. I liked this ice dyed poncho, but the colors never looked good on me. I love wearing it now.

September

I got into sewing some purses. This Ethel Tote I made for the library silent auction. It ended up getting an overbid!

Dave and I took a trip to Vermont and New Hampshire this month. I had never been to Vermont, and loved every minute of this trip.

October

I spent October printing fabric for the #printinktober challenge. It was so much fun, and resulted in some fun fabric for my stash.

I also continued my interest in genealogy. I found letters sent to my sister in the 50s in some of her stuff I’ve had for years. I spent time this month looking for family members to send these letters. It was an interesting journey where I felt I got to know these guys.

But one of the big highlights was adding Molly to our household. Ally was finally feeling better now that we have her on meds, and we wanted her to have a playmate. Puddin is getting old, and not interested in playing. So on October 25 we went to the Vanderburgh County Humane Society and adopted her. I had orange cats years ago, and have always wanted another one.

Talking about Ally, since we got her medical condition under control, she has turned into the most beautiful cat. She has gained weight, and her winter coat has come in so thick and fluffy!

And I can’t neglect Puddin while I’m talking about the cats. She’s moving slower, but she’s usually up for lap sitting.

November

I really got into sewing purses for the Sew Powerful project. These were made with thrift store or old commercial fabric from my stash. I’ll be making lots more next year.

December

Found another easy project I want to make – easy grocery totes.

I ended the year making Dave an ornament and card. Dave has started getting back into play and writing songs. He bought a new guitar so I thought it was appropriate and timely to make a guitar ornament.

It’s been a good year. I felt I didn’t really get as much accomplished as I wanted to, but it’s always that way! Many more ideas than time or energy to do them. Check out Off The Wall Friday for some inspiration.
